-One can choose a college close to hometown so one can live at home.

-Limit eating out to no more than once per week.

-One can prepare lunch and dinner from home. One can also self-prepare meals, if one lives in a dorm room that has a kitchen or access to a kitchen.

-Eat plant based meals that are organic. Organic food is not supposed to have synthetic pesticides and is generally more nutritious. Some examples of plant based, organic foods include lentil soup, lentil burgers, herb salad, tofu (made in USA), pasta (made in Italy), black bean burrito, pizza with almond cheese.
Here are some examples of nutritious, organic fruit: kiwi, raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, oranges, grapes.

-If one is a freshman at a four year college, if possible, one should not transfer to another undergraduate college the following year. This is because many times not all college credits are transferable. This can lead to taking even more classes and spending more money to get your degree. However, taking more classes can be beneficial to your brain.

-After graduating, make student loan payments on time to avoid paying extra interest and late fees.
